Help Us Make This Documentary The Best It Can Be
(Scroll down for available perks & to see how we are using funds already raised)
What are we raising funds for Next?
Don't worry, we're making the film! The crowdfunding campaign raised the minimum funding we need to create a film. But we want the best film possible! It costs a lot more to take a film to the next level and to have the film ready sooner. We need to hire more editors to provide more insight and to help the process along quicker. We would also like to hire the best studio we can to help us with finishing the film - this includes sound, color, music, mastering and much more.
We want YOUR project to be as successful as possible, to be seen by as many as possible and to have the biggest impact possible! Thank you for your continued support and donations. We are also applying for grants and exploring partnerships to help take us to the top.
Note: We welcome matching programs and are ready and excited to fill out the forms you need us to fill out for your employer to match your donations! Note that some employers continue to have matching programs for retired employees. Email us: email@example.com.
If you would like to send a check, make it out to WildSides, Inc. and send it to:

More details about the process (In case you want them)
Our goal right now, given the funds we have, is to finish editing the film by March 3rd (which is faster than many feature length documentaries). We are happy to answer questions and provide more details about why it takes so long to have a great film product. Just shoot us an email and we'll respond as quickly as we can.
The key is that we want this film in front of as many sets of eyes as possible because the message is so important. To do that, it is better to aim for the best distribution deal possible than it is to even put a film out on the internet for free. So the next set of funds will help us get more editors on the team to make the process go faster, pay for music rights, create and insert voice-overs where needed, create motion graphics, and so much more, including hiring a professional studio to help with sound, color, finishing and preparation for all formats needed for film festivals, broadcast, streaming, etc. These things are considered part of "post-production." Email us if you have questions. We love to share!
Funds Raised from the Indiegogo Campaign
For those who have already donated to the film through Indiegogo...THANK YOU! You helped make this film happen. Over $40,000 was contributed by over 250 people through our Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign!
Our goal is to continue to stay very transparent in what the funding enables. The Indiegogo funding covers the following production tasks and expenses:
- Filming interviews with ALS, agriculture, red wolf and other subject matter experts.
- Filming some additional b-roll (scene setting) footage related to ALS, Chris' community, agriculture and red wolf country.
- Initial stages of post-production: editing the narrative and some graphics.
- Crowdfunding fees from Indiegogo and the payment processor.
- Insurance fees and initial legal fees necessary for general liability, insurance for production crew travel, workers compensation, and some initial legal fees required for initial set up for distribution
